2D PRICING ~  DJSquire Designs

Digital Renderings... 2D Computer Imaging & Design And Ideas Service...

~ For Contractors, Designers, & Homeowners ~

Frankly, pricing for the Computer Imaging Service varies, based upon the complexity of the image (or multiple images), the original photo quality, and if there has to be the “illusion” of items removed, or not.

2D IMAGING PRICING...

To start any imaging project -- for contractors or home owners -- it must be pre-paid.  We use PayPal for invoicing.  If your company plans to have ongoing imaging projects, busy contractors can also set up a deposit account.  (Ask about this option.)

Contractors and existing contractor customers -- with multiple projects -- are eligible for special contractor pricing.  (Please connect with us about details.)

BASIC IMAGES – Simple Changes To A Scene (See sample images down below):

Basic Images show changes on surfaces such as… pavers or decorative concrete on existing or intended Driveways, Patios, Existing Pool Decks, Walkways, etc. They are basically imaging a flat surface and perhaps adding soldier course borders or a circle design. Often, to "touch up" the image, some basic pretty flowing plants will be added to set the scene for a homeowner.

BASIC & BASIC+ IMAGES COSTS...

$77.00 to $88.00 for 3 different basic texture/surfaces options of one key picture

Additional options/changes (beyond basic ones) @ $22.00 per image

COMPLEX IMAGES – Defining Surfaces and Adding and/or Editing New Objects (Also see sample images down below):

More complex images often show paved or decorative concrete surfaces, retaining walls, curbing, and some landscaping (non-specified plant materials). They may include additional yard items such as a gazebo, pergola, outdoor furniture, etc., or we may need to "create" basic steps from scratch.

Sometimes a contractor or homeowner wants a specific item, or two, included and the provide a good quality photo from which we can "lift" an item to be used in the final image.

And, at times, the way the original photograph was taken may mean a lot of "patching" needs to be done first, before it can me imaged, to give the "illusion" of removing an object, such as a tree, tall shrubs, hedges, walls, planters, etc.  Ideally, when you want something "removed" take photos of what you would see behind it so it can be covered up easily.

COMPLEX IMAGES COSTS...

Range from $88.00 - $111.00 – for 3 different complex paver/objects options on one key picture and depending upon the complexity of the project

Additional options/changes (above and beyond easy changes) @ $33.00 each image

CUSTOM IMAGES – Unique and Individual Special Needs (More sample images down below):

These are more time consuming imaging efforts -- often involving multiple views of a yard -- while showing off combinations of paved surfaces, different surface levels, and additional objects such as specific retaining walls, specific plant materials, outdoor barbeque, spas, pools, etc., usually specified in design plans.

Again, these photos may require extensive "patching" to show the illusion of "removing" existing plants, people, construction site mess, or other physical objects to be "eliminated" (which actually means coverd up).

They may require working with a plan where “specific” plant materials are specified. (Can be time consuming because not all plants may be pre-edited in the existing imaging software. Editing new plant materials is very exacting work.)

Custom projects often require that we interact directly – by phone – with the customer (or contractor) and to be very clear on what is required for each of the multiple views to be imaged. It is a waste of everyone's time when customers are indecisive, or inaccurate in what they require.

CUSTOM IMAGES COSTS...

Range from $111.00 to $199.00 (or more) depending on scope and high-resolution photos available of specific objects required, number of views, etc.

Additional options/changes (for more complicated ones) @ $44.00 each image

Extra Hourly Rate for "Above and Beyond" Projects @ $55.00/hour

There is no “one pricing answer” for all computer imaging projects. (We really need to discuss it and see a Before Photo of the project.)

Each is as individual and unique as a homeowner or home installation project.

If you are interested in discussing a project, call or email us.  We can also email you the link to a Dropbox which makes it easier to send large photos, for review.

PROJECT DETAILS...

When there are hardscape design plans showing a complex outdoor room area, architectural working drawings, artist’s renderings, or elevations and site plans, or even landscape design plans that specify specific plant materials, those projects will require far more time to create as custom projects. In fact, those types of plans are guranteed to make imaging projects way more complex, and cost more.

Keeping it simple...

Creating faster “pretty” pictures – for the sake of concept -- that may well be botanically inaccurate, will often sell the installation job just fine, and will cost less.

KEY TO NOTE:  Even though this multiple image driveway project "looks" pretty simple (the images actually were), the whole installation was worth $100,000.00 to the contractor.

(Yes, you read that right.)

Simplicity is often in the eyes of the beholder, eh?

Or... maybe the actual imaging side of the project... is NOT quite so simple...

These kinds of complex images again focus on developing a “pretty picture” of the possibilities without having to specify plant materials based on a landscape contractor's or architect's site/materials plan.

The "reason" the above front steps are considered "custom" is because they had to be 'built" from scratch... tested... torn apart... and re-tested... and approved... and tweaked... and... and... and.  (You get the idea.)

If there had been an actual photograph of the ideal steps... at a similar angle to the "before" photo... it would have been a piece of cake to lift them off... and use them in the final image.

That was not the case here.

Also, anytime you are "building" hardscape or multiple steps, the project is usually a custom one, that takes way more imaging time to create.

Again, each project is usually bid separately after discussing the scope, complexity, customer needs, and purpose of the project.
